Perceptual Motor Programme

Our year 0-2 students are lucky to be work closely with a voluntary physiotherapist in order to plan and run a weekly gross motor programme called the Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP). We have seen a huge improvement in overall confidence, social skills, balance and coordination after the first year of this programme!

The Perceptual Motor Programme is a group activity with a number of adults supporting the students. The programme develops children’s gross motor, coordination and memory skills which provide the foundations necessary for success in their early school years.

Thank you so much to all of the parent volunteers who have helped to keep this programme alive and hugely successful.

Please ask all of the members of your whānau to help as this programme can’t run without whānau support!

We particularly encourage parents of children in our target group, who participate in the program weekly, to see the fantastic progress that is being made.
